| Texas A&M | Goodwin Hall demolished. It marked the passage of a building that began its life as both a beginning and an end in campus architecture. According to the late architect and archivist, Ernest Langford '13, Goodwin was the last "principal campus building" to be built with load bearing masonry walls and wood framing. It was, however, the first of a classical architectural style that would dominate the campus for the next quarter century. | |
